It's been the hottest weekend of the year here in St. Louis. But the wildflowers and hibiscus are loving the hot temps!
I'm thinking of making Sunday Snapshots a weekly posting on my blog. It'll get me to practice photography more and blog more. Sounds like a great idea to me!
Has anyone else had the incredible spring flowers we've had this year? Our clematis on the back patio has exploded with blooms. It's so beautiful...
I mean, wow! The flowers are bigger than my hand. Just gorgeous!
Nate also said he's never seen this bush at the corner of our house (sorry, don't know the variety) bloom so much. The colors are just so vivid.
Purples and pinks... How can a girl not love that?!
Has anyone else experienced extra beautiful flowers this spring or is this just a central MO occurrence??
I was doing a little cake browsing tonight (planning on talking to a bakery or two next month), and I found a picture of almost exactly what I had in mind. I would want square layers instead of the hexagons, the brown ribbon, flat white icing (or maybe ivory...do you match your icing to your dress?!), and orange flowers of some sort. The lilies are nice.
I was doing a little online browsing last night, and stumbled upon a designer that has a burnt orange color available in several of his dresses: http://www.billlevkoff.com/main3.asp?p=1. I'm planning on doing some wedding dress shopping next month, and I know one of the shops carries this designer's dresses, so I'm excited to see a color swatch and see what dresses are available! You never can tell with colors on computer monitors--they could be dramatically different in person....so we'll see!
